Golf & nature
Fairways, estuaries and wild coast
Lagos has three courses of its own: Palmares, overlooking Meia Praia and the bay; Boavista, on the hills just west of town with views to the sea; and Espiche, an eco-designed course near Luz. For nature, the boardwalks and dunes of the Ria de Alvor are a haven for wading birds, and the Fishermen's Trail of the Rota Vicentina leads north into the protected Costa Vicentina Natural Park.
